Welcome to Anugraha Eye Hospital
Anugraha Vision Foundation Trust is a non-profit, non-commercial ophthalmic service organization in Vijayapur, Karnataka, India. It is a sister concern of Anugaraha Eye Hospital, a specialty eye care center which is one of its kind in the region. We have a track record of undertaking community service since our inception in 2001.
Till date, Anugraha Vision Foundation Trust has undertaken more than 200 eye camps and conducted more than 10,000 free surgeries for the economically challenged. The cornerstone of our approach to the patients in the outreach camps has been the quality that we have provided. The surgeries are all conducted in the hospital. For this the patients are shifted to the hospital and back to their homes in our own vehicle. The patients are provided high quality surgical and medical facility in the environs of our super speciality hospital, making sure that the patients don’t feel a sense of inferiority even though the surgeries are done free.
Free spectacles are supplied at almost all the camps. School eye health is a project which has been a regular feature of our agenda. Last year we have provided about 5000 glasses free of cost to poor children studying in government schools around Vijayapur town. This year we have taken up the cause in a bigger way and screened all the primary and secondary school children in government schools in the whole of Vijayapur District. Children who need special care are referred to the hospital and the examination and corrective procedures are all taken up free of cost for the patient.
It is said – ‘to be born as a human being is by virtue of one’s greatness of his previous birth and to be born with good health is also determined by that. All are not born affluent. Our scriptures say… “Udarcharithanamthu Vasudevakutumbakam” , To the generous, the whole world is one family. So it is our duty to help our lesser privileged brethren who need our care. Friends! Come we will unite in this noble cause. And do our best.
